I like the design of an object. It looks good and serves a specific purpose.
Is it also a work of art? How many reproductions of the same painting or sculpture can I put side by side before they loose any significance?
And what if, on the contrary, a single object is, well, just an object?
And many of them, all exactly the same, become a work of art?
Iteration is the act of repeating a process, with the aim of approaching a desired goal.
The results of one iteration are used as the starting point for the next iteration
However, what if the outcome changes almost exclusively in virtue of sheer numbers?
That is what I tried to achieve with a device designed to stop avalanches.
Just one of those looks like an incongrous piece of metal someone forgot to remove.
Many together, not only will stop the avalanche, but acquire a beauty of their own, with the power to transform an anonymous snowy slope in something unique.
