Being an architect, one of my constant endeavours is to bring my contribution to a better built environment in general and, in particular, to design homes and offices that improve the quality of life of their inhabitants.

 

Therefore it is a nonsense as much as a challenge to imagine and fit-out a residence in view of attaining the exact contrary: a particularly drab, sad and tired place.

This reverse experiment is a disturbing and counter-intuitive experience, that not surprisingly enhances our understanding of what a successful living space should be.
